Today we peppered some of the higher terrain which is of direct threat to some of the pistes with some "fleches" which are Avalauncher darts. It's a pretty clever system powered by about 50 bars of high pressure to send the darts on their way, so far no misfires.
Some of the guys have some crazy stories, and I'm glad they have lived to tell. There is no false modesty when we take ample distance each launch. I love working with this crew, they are the best in what they do.

I'm still figuring out the coverage, range, precision and effectiveness of the Avalauncher. It's for sure not cheap and requires mixing this toxic concoction to load the darts with.
As weather permits it, the helicopter is called in for a few minutes and in quick succession pockets are taken care of. This takes place while the ski area is open on adjacent terrain and is a great spectacle for the public.
